Walk Against Warming in Darwin

On Saturday, December 12, all across the big cities in Australia, hundreds of people took to the street showing support to 'Walk Against Warming'.

The event which was to be held in Darwin simultaneously was called off by organisers because of the heavy rain over the two days.

However, despite the rain around 100 people showed up at the Nightcliff Jetty, forcing the organisers to still do the walk.

I was out there hoping to shoot for Reuters. I ended up with nothing really worth to be used for wires, compared to what my friends got in Sydney and Melbourne.

I can only blame the rain for the poor show here in Darwin, otherwise there would have been a better crowd and possibly some better photos.

Organisers promised a bigger event  once summer arrives and I hope to get some news worthy photos.

With only rain to talk about and a cyclone warning looming around, I'm hoping to go out and shoot its effect and may be post a few photos up here in the coming days.
